The aim is to find out the factors that cause post partum mothers to experience baby blues depression at the PBM Elsi Rahayana Clinic in 2023. Pre-Experimental Designs research method. All post partum mothers who gave birth at the PBM Elsi Rahayana Clinic during February – May 2023 were 38 people. Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test statistical test. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test showed that the p value was <0.05. <text>The prevalence of obesity, which is a global health problem, is increasing in developing countries due to changes in food and lifestyle. Obesity is a major cause of disease and death. This is difficult to overcome because of its association with an increased risk of Metabolic Syndrome, Cardiovascular disease, Heart Attack, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and various types of cancer.According to WHO data, the figure for excess body weight in children and adolescents (5-19 years) is 103 million (10%) for men, and 72 million (8%) for women. In Indonesia, excess weight can affect many things, including other physical health, decreased quality of activities and productivity. The cause of obesity is the energy balance between consumption and calories burned and lack of physical activity The general aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of fermented garlic (black garlic) on obese adolescents at SMAN 5 Binjai City, North Sumatra Province in 2024, his research is a quantitative type with a pre-experiment design whose design uses the one group pretest-posttest design The sample in this research was 20 teenagers who were obese, Data processing and analysis with Editing, Data entry, data analysis, Cleaning. Based on the table data above. It turns out that the Sig values in the normality test all show numbers that are greater than the α value of 0.05. This means that the data distribution of the two sample data before and after the Garlic Fermentation therapy treatment, all come from a normally distributed population. It is hoped that teenagers can reduce their weight by living a healthy life, namely by exercising and eating balanced nutrition to avoid various diseases.</text>

<text>Children are small humans who have potential that must be developed. Children have certain characteristics that are unique and not the same as adults, they are always active, dynamic and curious about what they see, hear, feel and they never seem to stop exploring and learning. Children are egocentric, and have a natural curiosity. Research Objectives: To determine the relationship between parenting patterns and the independence of preschool-age children in Bangun Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa District. This research design uses a correlation study. The sample in this study used a total sampling technique. From the results of univariate data analysis, it can be seen that authoritarian parenting patterns for preschool age children are in the non-authoritarian category, namely 26 respondents (26.8%). Democratic parenting styles for children are in the non-democratic category, namely 22 respondents (53.7%). The majority of permissive parenting styles for children are in the permissive category, namely 21 people (51.2%). The independence of preschool age children is mostly in the independent category, namely 22 (46.3%). The results of the bivariate data analysis. The statistical test results show that the p-value is 0.536 ˃ 0.05 so that the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted, which means there is no significant relationship between authoritarian parenting and the independence of preschool-age children, and the statistical test results show that the p-value -value 0.257 ˃ 0.05 so the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted which means there is no significant relationship between democratic parenting and the independence of preschool aged children. Then the results of statistical tests show that the p-value is 0.278 ˃ 0.05 so the null hypothesis ( Ho) is accepted, which means there is no significant relationship between parenting styles and the independence of preschool-aged children</text>

<text>Breast cancer and its treatments impose a complex symptom burden that negatively affects patients’ quality of life. Self-management support (SMS) is a patient empowerment strategy aimed at enhancing independence in nursing care. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of SMS on the quality of life of breast cancer patients at Haji General Hospital Medan. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre–post test control group approach. The sample consisted of 60 respondents (30 in the intervention group and 30 in the control group), selected using purposive sampling. The intervention group received structured education and self-monitoring guidance for 8 weeks. The research instrument used was the EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Paired T-test and Independent T-test. Results: There was a significant increase in the mean quality of life score in the intervention group, from 52.3 to 75.6 (p < 0.001), while the control group showed no significant change (p = 0.125). Intergroup comparison after the intervention revealed a statistically significant difference (p = 0.000). The emotional functioning and pain management domains showed the most substantial improvements. Conclusion: Self-management support is effective in improving the quality of life of breast cancer patients. This intervention is recommended to be integrated into standard oncology nursing care to promote patient independence in managing treatment-related side effects.</text>

<text>Hypertension is a predominant health issue in the geriatric population, contributing significantly to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and frailty. Major challenges in managing hypertension in the elderly include polypharmacy, declining organ function, and medication adherence. Apium graveolens (celery) contains apigenin and 3-n-butylphthalide, which are known to possess vasodilatory effects. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Apium graveolens administration as a complementary therapy for the prevention and control of stage I hypertension among the elderly in a rural community setting. Methods:This study employed a Quasi-Experimental design with a Pre-test and Post-test Control Group approach, conducted in Bagun Rejo Village from January to March 2025. The subjects comprised 80 elderly individuals (aged 60 years) with grade I hypertension, selected via purposive sampling. Subjects were divided into two groups: the Intervention Group (n=40), which received a standardized dose of Apium graveolens extract for 8 weeks, and the Control Group (n=40), which received standard lifestyle education. The primary parameters measured were changes in Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP) and Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP). Data analysis was performed using the Paired t-test and Independent t-test with a 95% confidence level (=0.05).Results: Baseline characteristics between the two groups were homogeneous. After 8 weeks of intervention, the Intervention Group demonstrated a significant reduction in SBP from a mean of 152.4 mmHg to 138.2 mmHg (p < 0.001) and a reduction in DBP from 94.5 mmHg to 86.1 mmHg ($p < 0.05$). Conversely, the Control Group showed no statistically significant changes. Furthermore, no significant gastrointestinal side effects or electrolyte disturbances were observed in the group consuming Apium graveolens, indicating a favorable safety profile for the elderly. Conclusion:The administration of Apium graveolens proved effective in reducing both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in elderly individuals with grade I hypertension . These findings support the potential of Apium graveolens as a safe and affordable adjuvant therapy in community-based hypertension management strategies, aiming to reduce the burden of polypharmacy in the geriatric population. Integration of this program with the Integrated Healthcare Center for the Elderly (Posyandu Lansia) is recommended for sustainability.</text>

<text>This study aims to analyze the design and implementation of the Friend application based on Android and GPS as an effort to mitigate and respond to early emergency situations for disaster victims, especially pregnant women and newborns. This vulnerable group often faces high risks during disasters due to limited mobility and lack of access to effective information and communication. This study uses a qualitative method with an observation and interview approach to the community in disaster-prone areas, health workers, and related parties at the Kampung Baru Health Center, Medan. The application development uses the UML (Unified Modeling Language) system, including use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams. The results of the study show that the Friend application is able to integrate emergency reporting, mapping of disaster-prone areas, and direct communication with health workers and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). The trial showed that the application can determine the user's position with an average accuracy of 12.9 meters and a response time of 1.49 seconds, allowing for rapid handling of pregnant women and babies in emergency conditions. The implications of this study indicate that the application of digital technology in disaster mitigation can increase the effectiveness of emergency responses for vulnerable groups, as well as accelerate coordination between the community, medical personnel, and authorities. Friend is expected to be an innovative solution in improving the safety of mothers and babies in disaster situations.</text>
