Title A name given to the resource Peran Kelas Ibu Balita Sebagai Media Peran Kelas Ibu Balita Sebagai Media Edukasi Dalam Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Pencegahan Stunting di Puskesmas Ketol Description An account of the resource Menurut World Health Organization (WHO), stunting merupakan gangguan pertumbuhan kronis yang bersifat irreversible dan umumnya disebabkan oleh asupan nutrisi yang tidak memadai serta paparan infeksi berulang, terutama selama periode kritis 1000 hari pertama kehidupan. Berdasarkan data Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Aceh Tengah tahun 2021, prevalensi stunting tertinggi tercatat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kekuyang, Kecamatan Ketol, yaitu sebesar 30,8% (145 balita). Sementara itu, di wilayah Puskesmas Ketol pada kecamatan yang sama, angka stunting tercatat sebesar 10,1%, atau sekitar 74 balita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Kelas Ibu Balita sebagai media edukatif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu mengenai pencegahan stunting di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Ketol. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi-experiment dengan desain one group pre-test and post-test, di mana pengukuran dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pada satu kelompok yang sama. Desain ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengevaluasi dampak edukasi terhadap perubahan pengetahuan responden. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah paired t-test guna mengetahui signifikansi perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari keikutsertaan dalam Kelas Ibu Balita terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan ibu mengenai pencegahan stunting. Dari total 42 responden yang terlibat, diperoleh nilai p-value sebesar 0,000, yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelaksanaan Kelas Ibu Balita di Puskesmas Ketol efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman ibu tentang pentingnya pencegahan stunting sejak dini. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan Puskesmas Ketol dapat terus mengembangkan dan mengoptimalkan kegiatan Kelas Ibu Balita sebagai bagian dari strategi promotif dan preventif dalam penanggulangan stunting. Penyuluhan dan layanan edukatif yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan menjadi kunci dalam memperkuat peran ibu sebagai pengambil keputusan utama dalam praktik pengasuhan dan pemberian gizi yang optimal bagi balita.
