S Dengan Osteoporosis Di Desa Bangun Rejo Dusun VIII Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Tahun 2023 Description An account of the resource Osteoporosis adalah penyakit tulang yang ditandai dengan penurunan massa tulang (kepadatan tulang) secara kescluruhan diakibatkan karna ketidakmampuan tubuh untuk mengatur kandungan mineral tulang dengan disertai kerusakan arsitektur yang menyebabkan penurunan kekuatan tulang atau pengeroposan tulang, Osteoporosis juga diartikan sebagai penyakit dengan ciri-ciri massa tulang yang rendah dengan perubahan mikrostruktur tulang, jadi kualitas jaringan tulang berkurang akibat meningkatnya kerapuhan tulang dengan meningkatnya risiko patah tulang (Kemenkes RI, 2021). Data lansia menurut World Health Organization (WHO,2020) yaitu Persentase populasi dunia berusia 60 tahun ke atas sejak 2015 Sekitar 15%, meningkat menjadi 24% pada tahun 2020. Jumlah penderita osteoporosis di Indonesia jauh lebib besar diperkirakan 19,7% dari jumlah total populasi atau sekitar 3,6 juta mengalami osteoporosis Prevalansi wanita yang menderita osteoporosis pada kelompok usia 60- 65 tahun di Indonesia yaitu 24% untuk pria usia 60-70 tahun, 62% pada golongan lansia (Suami, 2019). Jumlah penduduk lansia di Provinsi Sumatera Utara tercatat sebanyak 631.604 jiwa. Jumlah lansia dengan keadaan baik sebanyak 242.999 jiwa, keadaan cukup sebanyak 215.787 jiwa dan keadaan kurang sebanyak 172.818 jiwa. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis dengan judul Asuhan Keperawatan Gerontil: Pada Ny.S Dengan Diagnosa Osteoporasis di Desa Bangun Rejo Dusun VIII pada Tahun 2023 maka di dapatkan data bahwa 5 dari 50 orang lanjut usia (lansia) dengan umur 55 tahun ke atas menderita Osteoporosis, sehingga Osteoporosis menduduki penyakit tidak menular terbesar ke 5. Maka dengan itu penulis tertarik untuk mengangkat kasus Osteoporosis sebagai study kasus untuk menyusun dan memberikan Asuhan Keperawatan Gerontik pada lansia yang mengalami Osteoporasis.
