Meskipun demikian, penggunaan buku ini masih belum optimal di antara sebagian ibu hamil, yang dapat memengaruhi sikap dan tindakan mereka dalam mencegah komplikasi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kaitan antara pemakaian Buku KIA dan sikap pencegahan komplikasi kehamilan pada wanita hamil yang menjalani pemeriksaan di Klinik Pratama Sarfina Kota Medan pada tahun 2025. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain studi potong lintang (cross-sectional). Sebanyak 52 calon ibu dipilih sebagai responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, dan analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Chi Square pada tingkat signifikansi 5% (α = 0,05). Hasil: Analisis statistik mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat penggunaan Buku KIA dan perilaku pencegahan komplikasi selama kehamilan (nilai p = 0,003; p < 0,05). Ibu hamil yang secara aktif memanfaatkan Buku KIA cenderung menunjukkan perilaku yang lebih baik dalam melakukan tindakan pencegahan komplikasi dibandingkan dengan ibu hamil yang tidak memaksimalkannya.
